Property Tax & PMI Removal Appraisals
An independent residential appraisal may provide valuation evidence for a property-tax matter or support a homeowner’s request to have private mortgage insurance (PMI) removed. The appropriate assignment depends on the intended use and requirements of the organization reviewing the appraisal.

A residential appraisal may help support a property owner’s review or protest of an assessed value by analyzing the property and relevant market evidence. An appraisal does not guarantee a change in assessed value or a tax reduction.
PMI removal appraisals
Some homeowners seek an appraisal as part of a request to cancel private mortgage insurance. Before scheduling, check with your mortgage servicer about its specific requirements, including the acceptable appraiser, effective date, loan eligibility, and appraisal process. A report does not guarantee PMI cancellation; the servicer makes that determination.
